The Sunshine Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival is on Sunday 22nd September 2024, 1pm to 7pm and held at RT Pollard Gardens Sunshine.
This free community event is presented by the Vietnamese Museum Australia, supported by the Victorian State Government, Sunshine Business Association and O'Brien Real Estate.
The Vietnamese Museum Australia Mid-Autumn Lantern Festival will be a vibrant celebration of culture and community that will bring together families, friends, and visitors of all ages to experience the magic of the Mid-Autumn Festival. The festival will be held at RT Pollard Gardens, a beautiful park adjacent to the future site of the Vietnamese Museum Australia in Sunshine. This location adds a special significance to the event, as it not only showcases the rich cultural traditions of the Vietnamese community but also highlights the exciting future of the museum.
The event will feature a lantern parade with free lanterns for children around 6pm, traditional Vietnamese and multicultural performances including lion dancing at around 4.30pm, delicious food, and fun activities for children and adults alike.
