The 2025 MFWF - Westside Wander in Sunshine is on the 26th and 27th March and is now sold out. This year it is a delicious walking tour beginning at M.B Lynch Memorial Gardens, 360A Hampshire Rd, through Sunshine and is run by Brimbank City Council and supported by Sunshine Business Association. Richard Cornish is the culinary guide this year who will introduce guests to our wonderfull precinct, restaurants and food of Sunshine, calling at Chingu Korean BBQ, Afghan Shaheen Restaurant and Thai dessert café Homm Desserts. Each stop on this tour will be a tasty testament to the power of diversity, migration and hospitality.

The 2024 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (MFWF) returned to Sunshine on Tuesday 19th March 2024 with the A Sunshine Wander as part of the Eat Drink Westside Wanders, MFWF, Western Melbourne Tourism, Brimbank Council and SBA.

A Sunshine Wander was the ultimate three-course progressive dinner hosted by Cam Smith - Prominent Foodie, Food Judge, 3RRR food host, MC & Broadcaster, who took 23 guests through the laneways of Sunshine experiencing diverse cuisine combined with multicultural entertainment that showcased Sunshine as one of the most culturally and gastronomically diverse places in Melbourne.

ENTREE - The Wander started at SalamaTea House – 21 Dickson St with a truly Persian dining experience where owner and chef - Hamed shared his Persian cultural and culinary heritage. This experience included 9 food tastings. Wine and beer was plus a fire twirler greeted everyone as they arrived.

MAIN MEAL. The experience continued to Gojo Ethiopian Café & Restaurant – 2A Clarke St and greeted with Ethiopian culture at its best. Owners Daniel & Kena presented a traditional Ethiopian meal that celebrated their culture, history and place in Sunshine. This included 9 food tasting, African wine and beer.

DESSERT. A Sunshine Wander finished with refreshing Vietnamese sweets from NNB Desert House – 221A Hampshire Rd, owner Vu presented both traditional and contemporary Vietnamese desserts including 4 dessert tastings and 1 of 2 mocktails.

This was Sunshine Business Associations 10th year of foodie events with the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
