The Melbourne Food and Wine Festival (MFWF) returns to Sunshine with the new A Sunshine Wander as part of the Eat Drink Westside Wanders, organised by MFWF, Western Melbourne Tourism, Brimbank Council and SBA.
A Sunshine Wander is on Monday 27th March 2023 for just 1 night and is the ultimate three-course progressive dinner hosted by Sofia Levin, that takes you through the laneways of Sunshine experiencing Persian, Ethiopian and Vietnamese cuisine combined with multicultural entertainment that showcases Sunshine as one of the most culturally and gastronomically diverse places in Melbourne. 6.15pm to 8.45pm, only 20 tickets available and cost is $102 with tickets purchased through MFWF website.
Details of the night:
WELCOME & ENTRÉE. Starting at SalamaTea House – 21 Dickson St with a truly Persian dining experience where owner and chef - Hamed will share his Persian cultural and culinary heritage. This experience includes 9 food tastings with Persian Saffron and Lemon or Sour Cherry Cordial, wine and beer.
MAIN MEAL. The experience continues to Gojo Ethiopian Café & Restaurant – 2A Clarke St, you will be greeted with Ethiopian culture at its best. Owners Daniel and Kena will present a traditional Ethiopian meal that celebrates their culture, history and place in Sunshine. This will include 9 food tasting, African beer and wine.
DESSERT. A Sunshine Wander finishes with refreshing Vietnamese sweets from NNB Desert House – 221A Hampshire Rd, owner Vu with present both traditional and contemporary Vietnamese desserts. This will include 4 dessert tastings and 1 of 2 mock-tails.
This will be Sunshine Business Associations 9th year of foodie events with the Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
